I’m leaving that old about me just for nostalgia’s sake, but it’s time to start anew. this blog is going in a new direction from now on. I am a graduate of the University of Home Minnesota as of earlier today and am going to have a lot to say as I enter this real world thing. I’m transferring some entries over from a new blog I began 10 days before graduation, and will pick up from there. Here, I’ll record the trials and tribulations of a new college graduate as she tries to make her mama proud, or fails miserably in the process. Read as you will.
I’m 19 world. Square that number, then quadruple it, and you have a rough estimate of how many About Me’s I’ve written in those 19 yours. Hopefully, with that knowledge, you’ll understand the relatively little effort I will put into this one. For starters, I am a History major at the University of Hell Minnesota. I plan to get out of this place as soon as humanly possible, which is next fall. But back to more optimistic, cheerful things. I love history. Specifically, I love sports history, and even more specifically I love early 20th century sports history. I love the Red Wings, and will love them more and more every day until the day I die. Did I mention I love the Red Wings?
Moving on. I like to write. When it isn’t for class. Which brings me to class. I don’t go often. I sleep instead, and I feel my life is infinitely better for it, until exam time, when I feel my life is infinitely worse for it. You know, that ol’ thing. I used to be a 4.0 honors student, now I am a 3.5 honors student, and the Honors Student In Me (HSIM) can’t stand that fact. Expect a few entries from the HSIM to involve how angry I am at the lazy part of me.
That’s enough for now, right?
Oh dear, I’ve realized it wasn’t enough. I’ll quickly run down a few things I remembered might be important:
My name is Alyssa. I’m a sophomore in college. I love meeting new people and chatting with people. Leave a comment anywhere and I’ll be sure to respond as promptly as I can. I’ve only just noticed that I can have more than one section to my About Me page and that appeals to me. How is that important? Well…perhaps it says something about how much I like to say, or how much I like to organize…ignore that statement, I don’t organize that much. I think it was just an impulsive statement, to be honest. You know what? If you would like to know more about me, you are welcome to ask.
Randomly saw the name of your blog in a google search; don’t see many references to Swinburne..ever, so just wanted to recognize that achievement
I love that poem. Take care.
